Tribal belly dance is addictive! No matter what size or shape you are, it is a great way to keep mobile and flexible, to make new friends, have a great time and feel like a beautiful, powerful woman.
“ATS® celebrates the strength and beauty of women working together as a group”. FCBD® American Tribal Style® belly dance is a blend of various Middle Eastern, Spanish, African and Indian folk dances with a modern western influence.
Susan is a certified FatChanceBellyDance® ATS® teacher and a registered FatChanceBellyDance® sister studio. She has been obsessed with Arabic dance since 1991, studying, teaching and performing raqs sharqi. In 2003 she became hooked on tribal style belly dance. She was one of the founding members of Gypsy Fire, Scotland’s first tribal belly dance troupe.
Susan has now found her perfect dance form in FatChanceBellyDance’s American Tribal Style®. In 2011 she gained her certificates in general skills and teacher training from Carolena Nerricio of FCBD® and is a registered FatChanceBellyDance® sister studio. She continues her training in ATS® attending and organising workshops and intensives throughout the year. Susan has enrolled in the sister studio continuing education programme and is currently re-certified as a sister studio in their annual renewal scheme.
As well as ATS® Susan also teaches tribal sword, skirt, basket, finger cymbals, fan veils, candle and double veil. If you are unsure which level is right for you or you wish to enquire about dance tuition, please contact Susan: email@example.com
Class students have the opportunity to perform in sister troupe Twisted Thistles.
